SAA (Subconscious Anatomical Archive)

background img

SAA is SAL's signature movement workshop program.

An open creative space where SAL artists share the movement language and performing arts experience they have developed through their practice, SAA is open to anyone with an interest in movement. True to its name, Subconscious Anatomical Archive, the program explores, dissects, and documents the unconscious traces remembered by the body through movement, including emotions, memories, and subtle visceral impulses.

Program

Each session is led by a SAL artist through an individual theme. More than a space for learning and repeating movement, it is an opportunity to directly experience SAL's movement language, including MAGI and other methodologies developed through the company's practice, and embody it through your own body.
Sessions focus on improvisation and bodily exploration, while also offering opportunities to learn excerpts from SAL's repertoire. Discover your own movement language and experience your body as a living archive.

How to Apply

SAA is available by monthly package only, and each session runs for 90 minutes.
Enrollment may close early once capacity has been reached.
